Friday Goodwill Find:Pineapple Bowl Planter

Dear Friends

Happy Memorial Day weekend!  I can honestly say another year older and I hope I'm not in any more debt.  I spent some time with my son and he showed me the town.  The pic of the Bloody Mary is proof and the pic of me is from last year on my birthday on the beach my first IG pic!  I will keep you guessing on the age, OK.  My Friday Goodwill Find is a wooden Pineapple Bowl.

I see these in all shapes and sizes at Goodwill so I thought I would paint, drill holes and serve up some of my favorite full sun flowers.  I pulled some Creeping Jenny from some other pots.  If you don't have this one in your garden, well just let me say, "Jenny" is strong, heat tolerant and will come back year after year. The portulaca is a favorite full sun annual but this one is different because it's a more ruffle bloom.

My gardenias are beautiful and so plentiful!  I've been enjoying and sharing all my blooms.  I received a special gift from a friend at work, her name is Claudia, she does beautiful embroidery and made me this sweet pillow with my quote I wrote.  Enjoy your long weekend, I will be playing in the dirt and soaking up some beautiful sun...
