Drying Tears

Dear Friends

Happy May!  It is a beautiful month, don't you agree?  My Friday Goodwill Find is late so please forgive me.  Are you looking for a sweet vintage gift for your mom?  I found these sweet hankies still in the box and added them to my collection.  It is a shame hankies are a thing of the past but I truly love them.  When you think about hankies what comes to mind?

A few favorites for using a hankerchief would be waving goodbye to your love one, holding and protecting that precious item, and drying your tears.  Mother's Day will be here soon and I hope you have that precious gift wrapped in a beautiful handkerchief just for her and "Please tell her, I Love You"!

  1. Debby, I really like this post. When I see these little hanky with flowers, I think of my teachers. My 1st grade teacher gave me about 30 hanky once. I guess she got tired of seeing me wipe my nose on my sleeves. :) It was before all classes had tissues by the boxes, or even homes. I miss my mom. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  6. Debby, I love vintage handkerchiefs as well! I have a jar full of them in my sewing room. Some of them were my dear mothers and my sweet Aunt Viola. The ones you found are wonderful! We have been finding a lot at the estate I am helping with as well. They sell very well. Happy Mothers Day to you and thanks for sharing with SYC.
    hugs,
    Jann
