Calling All Angels

Dear Friends
Merry Christmas!  Instead of a tree this year I created a trunk full of angels to comfort myself and anyone who might feel lonely, sad, depressed or having a difficult time during this holiday season.  You are not alone, I am not alone, I've called all angels!  Please go to my Instagram for my video Christmas Eve, I hope you enjoy the video and I will also do a slide show.  Forgive me for all the photos but it is Christmas!

Blessings

Dear Friends

We knew the holidays would get here, right.  I spent my Thanksgiving in Virginia with my family.  My son moved there several months ago and it's a beautiful town.  If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen a couple adventures, Black Dog Salvage, window shopping, it was fun.  Today is a day of "Blessings", my daughter had her last day at school and passed her final with honors.  She will officially graduate with her degree in Radiology in January.  Her father would be so proud, telling everyone, our children are our blessings.

Debby's Fall Basket

Dear Friends

It's a beautiful Fall day here in Georgia.  I have been very busy with my home.  I've redone two bathrooms, painted and redecorated my bedroom, new appliances in my kitchen and as I write this post I'm preparing for new flooring.  This has been little to say very over whelming at times, tiresome, and hard.  I have my children to thank for their help.  My home has been in a lot of disorganization which makes Blogging hard.

French Fall Finds

Dear Friends

It's officially Fall...I wanted to share my mantel with a few finds.  A friend gifted me the mirror it's so pretty with the Toile Print peeking thru.  Don't pass up faded mirrors, they can become a piece of art. The candleabra's are from Goodwill that add a bit of French and dried hydrangeas with a few pumpkins.  I know Summer is slowly fading and the Seasons come and go, but doesn't everything.

Thank you for coming by, I have been keeping busy but love my blog and will continue to try to post more. Love Debby...

Summertime Hat

Dear Friends

Sweet Summertime is flying by.  I've been real busy working on the house to get it in shape to sell.  Lots of painting, remodeled two bathrooms, so much to do, I get overwhelmed.  No more pink in the bedroom and removed the Gibson girls too.  The Harrison Fisher is one of my favorites, it makes me happy.

Shabby Powder Room

Dear Friends

I want to thank everyone who tuned in to my "Blue" post, thank you for all your kind words and love.  I've cried so many tears and thru it all without the love of my children, I'm not sure I would have survived.  People say I'm strong, I say I'm a survivor, there are many of us.  To get me thru lonely nights and sadness I focus on the happy times.  I'm sharing the Shabby Powder Room my kids did for us this past Christmas.

Blue

Dear Friends,

I hope you have been well.  This is my first post since Robert Earl Cline, my loving man, my husband, my children's father, my lover and best friend passed away April 10th. I can only say and describe how I feel with a quote, "Where you used to be, there is a hole in the world, which I find myself constantly walking around in the daytime, and falling in at night.  I miss you like hell".

Springfully Vintage Dining

Dear Friends

Welcome to the Spring and Easter Joys Blogger Link Party!  My post today is about dining.  My dining table is beautifully set with some of my favorite faux flowers, vintage rose chargers, and beautiful "Hello Spring" eggs and egg cups.  I also made these cute bunny ears for the dining chairs for Easter.  I have my bunny family hiding in the basket, peeking out.

Springfully Vintage Easter

Dear Friends

I am excited for Spring and more excited to be sharing for "The Vintage Easter Joys"  blog hop.  If your coming over from Linda's blog at Itsy Bits And Pieces , I know you are completely inspired. Today I'm sharing my Vintage Easter Mantel.  My mantel was an anniversary gift from my loving man years ago. I sanded and painted the faux mantel and made it beautiful and love decorating it for holidays. Thank you Amber, our host from Follow The Yellow Brick Home for this beautiful and inspiring blog hop.

My mantel is decorated with a beautiful vintage Maude Humphrey print, little girl gloves, painted Easter baskets from last year and a few of my collected bunnies.  The Snowball bush blooms are from my garden they always bloom around Easter and one of my several favorite blooms from the garden, but wait, stay tune for more inspiration Friday and you will be able to link your favorite Easter Projects and Decor!

Garden Finds

Dear Friends

I hope you had an amazing week.  I've been playing in the dirt with some thrift store finds.  With Spring only two weeks away, and yes I'm counting down, I wanted to share how I made these treasures, "Shabby Beautiful"!  A $2 chair, a dish with no lid and a sweet garden angel.

Happy Spring

Dear Friends

A little birdie told me there are 23 days until Spring, so I've been keeping busy making Spring pillows to add inexpensive ways to add color to your home.

Cake & Ice Cream

Dear Friends

I hope your winter is gong well.  I did not want my five year Blogging anniversary to go by without thanking and sharing my love with everyone who has ever taken the time to read Debbygoesshabby.blogspot.com.  If you didn't know, I did this out of grief, lost job, and empty nesting.  Don't get me wrong, I know there are far worse things but I was lucky enough to find something to help me in a sad time.  So to celebrate, I made a heart shape cake out of all my dried roses and moss.  Cake and ice cream that you can share all year long!

"Hiver" French For Winter

Dear Friends

I hope you are surviving  "Hiver" yes, French for Winter.  I decided to look for another word for it because I hate the word Winter.  I have been so sick my loving man and I at the same time, he missed entire week of work with no pay and me I missed two days with pay.  I like the word Hiver, French for Winter because I don't like using HELL, sorry!  I'm sharing what I call neutrals for Hiver because we need all the beautiful we can get during these miserable cold months.

Auld Lang Syne

Dear Friends

Auld Lang Syne or remembering things from the past!   I hope your holidays were everything your heart imagined.  Mine, I couldn't have  dreamed or imagined more! Having both my kids home during the holidays and a new bathroom!  My kids did all the work, as you already know my daughter and son-in-law could have their own show on fixing up!  They have done all the work on their beautiful home.  Don't get me wrong I know there are a lot of things to be happy about but this 4 x 4 bathroom certainly needed some updating and made this Shabbyqueen smile!  The same toilet since we bought the house and walls that have endured years of wall paper.  The before I really did not want to show, you will just have to take my word.
