Friday Goodwill Find!

Dear Blogging Friends

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I always feel a little melancholy around this time of year because I lost and miss my mother.  With that being said how many of us mothers spend many hours at our kitchen sink while looking out our window?  I wish I knew how many hours at the sink, cooking, cleaning and looking out my window at my kids swimming, laughing, swinging, grilling, pitching tents in the back yard, jumping on the trampoline, birthday parties, graduation parties, wedding showers and looking at full moons and watching my cherry tree grow as much as my kids! My kids are grown and that cherry tree wont stop growing!  The pic of the full moon was taken Thanksgiving night!  The old light fixture has hung around on the back deck waiting to be turned on, finally.

After 20 something years of looking out this kitchen window, I have been fortunate enough to be thankful for many memories.  So, my Friday Goodwill Find is continuing to use up the $3 lace shower curtain.  I decided to dress up my kitchen window with new curtains and a pretty light fixture with the same lace.  I know a shabby girl feels good with a new dress and this window is certainly dressed up ready for different seasons of my life.  Enjoy every moment with your children and what you might think are dreading days at the kitchen sink, looking out my kitchen window were the most wonderful days of my life.....

Love, Debby

My Thanks To a Friend!

Dear Blogging Friends

My dear friend Tina and I have been friends for many years. We have shared happy times and sad times.  We have shared work together for over twelve years, birth of her children, my children growing up and marrying, death of many loved ones, layoff together, life experiences that continue to season you and thankful for the family and friends you do have.  As we both go through different Seasons of life and even though we do not see each other day to day we have a tradition of going to Antiques In Old Town for their Christmas open house (http://antiquesinoldtown.blogspot.com) this adventure gets us in the spirit with lots of inspiration and continues to bring me and Tina together on a continued friendship of memories, happy ones!  Just a few pics from open house and my shabby pink finds!  This is my thanks to my dear friend Tina, thank you for being my friend, Love you, Deb........

"Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: what you too; everybody is crazy but us!"

Never shall I forget the days I spent with you.  Continue to be my friend, as you will always find me yours....

Christmas Finds!

Dear Blogging Friends

Just a few Christmas finds a Santa pitcher and an American Ford Truck holding French Macarons!

These macarons have been so much fun to make, different flavors!  They are only as big as a nickel and just the right size for a small tree.  I may start an Etsy account soon, anyone interested in a flavor, red velvet, raspberry, Christmas red?

Have you been naughty or nice?

A Christmas Crafting We Shall Go!

Dear Blogging Friends,

My favorite bloggers are very creative so I decided to jump on their sleigh ride of crafting ideas for Christmas.  My macaron ornaments are not exactly like "A" macarons but loved theirs.  These are my knock off inspiration of crafting some Breakfasts at Tiffany's macaron ornaments made out of bottle tops. "Maybe Christmas doesn't come from a store", but homemade crafts come from your heart and more!

But, I believe... I believe... It's silly but, I believe!

Stay tuned, more flavors to come.....

Love To Dish (2)

Hello
My name is Debby, and yes, I am a Dishaholic!
I had to share my Goodwill eye candy finds!  I admit it, but I Love it, such pretty colors!  All for an addictive price.  I love the tea trivets or tea tiles, pretty detail and one with a painted gold "D".  What would you do with the trivets?  Would love some ideas.  The square dish such pretty detail and  would make a great ring holder on a bed side table or vanity.  A pretty plate and the sweet biscuit jar and a sweet sugar dish.  So much eye candy.....

Thank you for tuning in.
