Friday Goodwill Finds:Pretending

Dear Friends

Happy Labor Day soon and returning from a great end of the Summer holiday.  This year it was a different adventure a beautiful adventure that was a little less crowded and more remote.  I have never been to Gulf Shores before and I may be considering it again. I love new adventures, new people and places.  I have some beautiful vintage finds for you, Friday Goodwill Finds.

The bone plates I found each in two different stores.  They actually depict how I feel about Summer coming to an end, can I just pretend forever, continuing to play in the garden with my flowers?  Summer is not officially over so I will pretend as long as I can.  The beautiful crystal berry set, well I love Crystal!  A Limoges butter pat that I will add to my collection and a celery dish waiting to be used again.  Gotta get those pumpkins out, I know but can I please continue to pretend?  Please say a prayer for Texas and there is no pretending that there are so many without homes and people completely devastated.  I'm going to leave a light in the window until everyone returns to their homes soon, will you do the same!

  2. Ah Debby I feel like we are long-lost dishy friends! I love all these pieces (and beautiful porcelain in general - especially Limoges!) and I too am "pretending" it is still summer... I hope you don't mind me leaving you a link, but I think you will get a kick out of my sort-of-tongue-in-cheek proclamation about The Fifth Season (which I totally made up!)... All the best to you, what a beautiful blog!
