Dear Friends
I hope this post finds you healthy and happy! My Friday Goodwill Find is this pretty Homer Laughlin platter. Today it's perfect for displaying some of my crystal salt shakers with pretty roses.
If you do not know Homer, he was a potter with his brother Shakespeare, and founded the Laughlin Pottery Company in 1841 in Ohio. They are quite famous for Fiesta! Not a lover of Fiesta more for Virginia Rose, I find pieces thrifting like the beautiful piece shown, I also have beautiful platters with Homers name stamped on the back of each piece. Potters, thank you for your work, they definitely make our cabinets, walls and shelves so much prettier don't you agree?

I started my blog to stay busy through my grief, unemployment and empty nesting. I love making something beautiful again. "Sometimes you may not be picked to join the bouquet, so be your own single beauty". My words, and making the world beautiful one post at a time.

ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous Debby! One guy who comes to the estate sales I have been hosting told me that he had over 750 pieces of Homer Laughlin. I said, "Wow, how do you have it displayed?" He said that he didn't. It was all in boxes. He comes to every sale and buys a ton. I've realized now, and he even told me that he was a hoarder. Boy, would I love to get into his house! :) Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
