Dear Friends
Hope you had a great weekend and that your enjoying every moment of summer! I wanted to share a few things that I collect and will be sharing later in the week, Berry Sets. Can you imagine people had nine course meals and saved the fruit and tea for last. I will try to incorporate these into a "Alfresco" table setting later this week. I've included a post of Berry Sets history for your entertainment. Stay tune for more shabby beautiful.

I started my blog to stay busy through my grief, unemployment and empty nesting. I love making something beautiful again. "Sometimes you may not be picked to join the bouquet, so be your own single beauty". My words, and making the world beautiful one post at a time.

Have to say I have never heard of a berry set....but these
ReplyDeletelook like a salad or fruit salad set. My favs are the 2nd
set love the hot pink and the pretty scalloping on
the bowls, course, they both have it but it seems to
show up more on the white background I guess. Look
forward to seeing a tablescape with them.
Blessings, Nellie
Those are charming. How wonderful they will look on a table.
ReplyDeleteI want to stop by for lunch. I love all the colors and the southern style with the rocking chairs. Really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDebby thank you for sharing your beautiful finds at Vintage Charm!
ReplyDeleteOh my! These sets are gorgeous! I would love to see them in use! Thank you for sharing with us on the Art of Home-Making Mondays at Strangers & Pilgrims on Earth! :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I had a carnival glass berry set that I finally sold. They can come in handy for serving dessert, but are one of those things that take up space between seldom being used. YOURS are gorgeous, and I would be hard pressed not to have them hanging on the wall or on a shelf, thanks for sharing, Sandi
