A Shabby Snow Day

Dear Blogging Friends

So what does a shabby girl do when the "The Weather Outside Is Frightful"?  She bakes shabby cookies, and I have to admit, I haven't baked since two Thangsgivings ago when I made shar sweet potato soufflé, one with pecans and one with marshmallows for each of my kids and I smashed the light bulb in the stove that went on top of the sweet potato souffle.  "Shar Sweet Potato Soufle" No one went to the emergency but we have great memories.  My sister made our first homemade cheese cake.  Memories are made from so many moments (hours) in the kitchen, don't you agree.  With that being said enjoy the pics of my sugar cookies baked with my daughter on a shabby snow day.

Stay tuned and stay warm!

  1. Ah those cookies are so cute. It would be a good project to do with our 5 year old grandson while he's here this week!

  3. So pretty! Good job keeping the glass shards out this time. Ha!! Your cookies are beautiful and your story, while it was NOT GOOD at the time, will be a funny memory as time goes on. :) Hope you're having a beautiful week!

  5. Enjoyed seeing your cookie pictures. I have a daughter who loves milkglass and I recently found the same plate with the heart cutout border. Fun to see it used in your beautiful photos.

  10. Your cookies look yummy.

We have not had winter for several years in our area, but this January, we really have a winter. And, I have felt like baking on the cold days. I'm going to think about some sweet pink hearts.

    Thanks for Sharing Your Cup!
